Summary/Abstract: At the current stage in the development of science and society, employee evaluation is an objective necessity, but many evaluation methods only allow establishing the presence or absence of certain qualities. This is explained by the subjective nature of the evaluations, because both the evaluator and the evaluated person are people. Therefore, subjective judgments in this case always take place, no matter how much we try to ignore them. In order to determine which job-specific qualities an employee or another possesses, it is necessary to quantify the level of these qualities, by establishing evaluation criteria. Only in this way is it possible to select and place staff correctly, to stimulate their work rationally, and to establish the need for retraining or advanced training. The clarity, accuracy, simplicity of such methods and the objectivity of the conclusions obtained from their application are of decisive importance.
