Summary/Abstract: The pedagogue George G. Antonescu remained consistent with the university ideal of the fundamental research of education, pursued throughout his life from a philosophical and psychological perspective, being anchored in the life of society. His writings have survived to this day and address important topics in the field of education policy, with openness to school management and the issue of Romanian education reform in the interwar period. The studied problem is oriented towards the development of a policy of culture, necessary in education, supported institutionally in order to be able to solve an existing and present management problem - the relationship between "pedagogical science and school administration", between „pedagogical centralization" (scientific) and "decentralization of education" (administrative).
