Summary/Abstract: Th e article examines the superpower aspirations of the Russian Federationunder the leadership of President Vladimir Putin, which culminated in the military invasionof Ukraine in February 2022. Th is analysis reveals several fundamental factors responsiblefor the threats that the Kremlin’s superpower policy poses to contemporary internationalsecurity systems, primarily to the political order of Central and Eastern Europe and theentire world.
