Summary/Abstract: Weather forecasts are read and listened by millions of people worldwide. In a world where the focus is placed on action, we intend to take a closer look at the parts of speech which give substance to weather forecasts and are used at the same time to describe them, namely the adjectives. Adjectives help users visualize and give meaning to the context in which they are used. The aim of this study is to investigate the use of adjectives in weather forecasts, in order to gain insights on their function, usage, and influence in relation to meteorological discourse.
