Summary/Abstract: Sofi Oksanen’s two novels, Stalin’s Cows and The Purge, can be read in relation to each other from different perspectives. The first aspect is that they are two pieces of an existing tetralogy, which reveals the authorial intention that placed the texts side by side. In addition, a generational network is revealed in both texts, which intersects at several points: the relationship between body and power, identity construction, women’s roles, trauma.
