Development of Emotional Competences in Theater Experience – Research Report

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the presented article is to present the social and theatricalexperiment “Live Torpedoes” carried out in 2019 as part of the Social Art Studio atthe University of Białystok. This project was designed as a sociological study usingqualitative research methodology (participant observation and in-depth interviewswith participants), which included, among others, workshops aimed at developing theemotional competences of its participants. As part of the article, I wonder whetherparticipatory theater is a good place to develop this type of skills, pointing out theadvantages and disadvantages of such an undertaking.
