Summary/Abstract: Europol is the European Union’s law enforcement agency whose main goal is to help achieve a safer Europe for the benefit of all EU citizens. The main goal of Europol is to improve and to enhance the cooperation between the competent authorities of the EU member states in preventing and combating serious international organized crime. The police cooperation of the national authorities of the Republic of Moldova at the EU border is a key element of the EU policy towards its neighbors. This cooperation must be efficient, that helps reducing risks of criminality and addressing common challenges across these borders. Balanced partnership between the partners is crucial for strategical and operational approach to tackle in real time serious international organized crime, to increase capabilities and to build trust and oriented results. Moldova established an early cooperation with Europol after visa free regime and the signing of the Association Agreement with EU.
