Summary/Abstract: In cooperation with the University of Korça Fan Noli, the Institute of European Studies of the University of Tirana and the Mediterranean University of Albania in Tirana, the Academy of Sciences of Albania invited the well-known Academician, Maria Todorova to hold a lecture there on 27- 30june 2023. As a professor of socio-linguistics, language and communication in the University of Illinois in the USA, Maria Todorova is widely known for her excellent work in analyzing history and identity in the Balkans. Many academics and researchers were present in the Academy of Sciences, where Todorova held the lecture "Balkan studies: history, debates and the places of Albania”.
