Summary/Abstract: Pedagogical work at foreign universities has its pluses, but also minuses. Based on my more than thirty years of experience, I dare say that the positive aspects prevail. The resulting impression depends on the circumstances and conditions and it makes a difference whether you participate in symposia, conferences and lectures as part of short-term visits, e.g. Erasmus, or you periodically teach the subject during the semester. In this article, I will describe the experience of long-term cooperation with the Ján Dlugosz University in Częstochowa, Poland.
