Summary/Abstract: The aim of this sketch is to present the most important ideological and imaginative threads that were included in the work “On the Ground of Humility Called Nothing” by Stefan Kucharski. The Polish Carmelite, using well-known texts (e.g. the works of St. John of the Cross), focuses primarily on showing the existence of man as completely dependent on God, which he combines with the ascetic idea of self-overcoming and humility, which was not only mentioned by Kucharski in his writings, but it what was shown in hagiographic records, exposing the visual dimension of the postulated guidelines for striving for Christian perfection.
