Summary/Abstract: Ksenija Atanasijević significantly contributed to the introduction of the thoughts of José Ortega y Gasset into the area of the Serbian language. She dedicated one of her late articles, published in 1967, to this philosopher of ratiovitalism. It can be argued that this text of a synthetic character belongs to the genre of philosophical portrait, in which the work and theoretical positions of a certain author are primarily discussed, in addition to the presentation of data from his life, and that the portrayal of a thinker cannot be reduced to his visual-artistic representation. Before focusing on the article in question, a review was made of the history of writing about Ortega and the general reception of his thought in Yugoslavia, as well as the presence of Spanish authors and motifs in the writings of Ksenia Atanasijević. One of the emphasis is placed on disputed claims about the Madridian philosopher, that is, his work.
