Summary/Abstract: A fragment of the rim of Dressel 6B amphora, discovered during the study of Tyras, is introduced into scientific circulation. A Latin stamp – the inscription OFFOCLO, surrounded by a double rectangular frame, is impressed on its surface. The article discusses the issues of morphology, chronology, production organization of Dressel 6B transport amphorae. The area of distribution of such vessels is outlined and data on their contents and visual characteristics of the material are given. During the study, it was established that the finds of stamps with the inscription OFFOCLO were previously known only in the Danubian provinces of the Roman Empire: Pannonia, Moesia Superior and Dacia. The letters OFF can be an abbreviation of officina (workshop), and OCLO is an abbreviation of the name of its owner. Amphorae with such stamps were made in several pottery workshops located in one production center, which was probably situated on the peninsula of Istria in the North-East Adriatic Sea region. Single finds of Dressel 6B amphorae were recorded in Moesia Inferior during the study of the points of deployment of the Roman Empire troops, but stamps with the legend OFFOCLO have not been found here yet. The published amphora could have been brought into Tyras from the Lower Danube region not earlier than the beginning of the 2nd century AD. Probably the olive oil contained in it was part of the food that supplied the Roman army vexillatio located in the city in the 2nd c. - first half of the 3rd c. AD.
