Summary/Abstract: We are overwhelmed by our daily concerns, we rush, we get tired, we are disappointed, we live in fear, and we cannot free ourselves from the thoughts, passions, and turmoil that do not give us peace for even a moment. We can only sleep with medication, and in order to feel joy, we must play the guitar or find other activities that create a good mood. However, all of these exhaust us and prevent us from praying as much and as we wish. We must dedicate as much time as we can to prayer, so that we can put into practice the words of Saint Isaiah the Hermit, who says, "Make an effort to pray often, for prayer is the light of your soul." "Leave everything in the care of the Lord," says the same Saint Isaac. "Focus on your spiritual work, and let your mind be in prayer. And, above all, choose a good guide [spiritual father] who will guide your steps to find Christ.
