Airborne troops within the military system of the Republic of Poland

Summary/Abstract: The use of airborne troops started on an extensive scale during World War II combat op-erations, and since then they have played a crucial role in the military systems of manycountries, including those at the top of the list of military powers. Poland was one of thefirst countries to start coordinating airborne troops in the capacity of a tactical unit; andstill deploys them till this day. This article presents the doctrinal conditions of the func-tioning of this type of troops in the military system of the Republic of Poland.
