Summary/Abstract: The four volumes of Saga buciumanilor: amintiri peste timp, deal extensively with the history of Bucium commune in Alba county. The first volume deals with general aspects of the community: geography, composition of villages, demography, school, church, also mentioning community legends related to gold mining. Several historical characters are also mentioned in this volume: Fefeleaga, the priest Dumitru Crișan or Lițoc. Ethnological aspects are also mentioned, the buciuman costumes or earrings being exemplified with photographs. The second volume deals more extensively with the historical aspect: the uprising of Horea, the years of the Second World War and the legionary movement in the village or the years of the installation of the communist regime. Important characters from the community are also evoked: Emil Dandea, professor Nicolae Jurca, engineer Nicolae Țandrău and others. The last two volumes of the series present the interviews with the villagers, their memories related to the life of the buciumani, the personalities of the village or the anti-communist resistance group which was joined by several inhabitants of the commune, being a total of 66 interviews. In conclusion, we can say that these volumes are a real marathon in the history of the community, presenting both the common aspects of life, such as the school, and the less common events, such as the formation of the anti-communist resistance group.
