Summary/Abstract: Contemporary socio-economic development concerns both environmental protection issues and new technological challenges, which constitutes sustainable regional development. Every person has the right to live in accordance with the principle of sustainable development, while maintaining their dignity and possibilities. For years, the Catholic Church has emphasized in its teaching the importance of the issue of the ecological crisis and its impact on the economy.
