Logoi and Energies

Summary/Abstract: The significant advancement in Byzantine philosophy studies does not diminish the special attention given to the themes that constitute the “trademark” of Byzantine philosophical thinking and distinguish it from other medieval philosophical traditions. Foremost among these are the doctrines of the logoi of things and of energies. The article focuses on the perceived imbalances in some contemporary studies, which to varying degrees lead to a deviation from understanding the true structure of the dynamic network of being as outlined by Byzantine thinkers.
