Summary/Abstract: The Vita of Niphont of Konstanz, Ep. Cypriot has been translated from Byzantine Greek into Old Bulgarian as early as the Xth century and gained wide popularity in medieval Russian literature, where are known several versions - two long versions and a short one; the work was included (in one of its long versions) in Patriarch Makary’s Great Menologion and as a revised form - into the printed Menologions of D. Rostovsky. A number of excerpts from the Vita - some of which related to the short version, others – to the long version also gained wide popularity and were distributed as independent works into manuscript collections such as Zlatoust, Izmaragd, Prolog, etc. This report examined 6 excerpts from the Vita of Niphont Konstanzki, which are also found in Bulgarian and other manuscripts written in XVI th, XVIIIth and XIXth century, from the collections of NLKM, The Public Library of Plovdiv “ Ivan Vazov”, SA of BAS.
