Summary/Abstract: This study aims to reconstruct a part of Geo Bogza's journalistic activity by referring to reportage, highlighting the elements that confirm the situation in the extension of invectives, proving the existence of some constant thematic axes. One of the main concerns is the searchof the elementary extracted from the sordid data of the real, thus rehabilitating the existence of the unseen, ignored people, located on the periphery of society. At the same time, through the analysis of Bogza’s reportage, it becomes evident the engagement in social and political issues, the reportage becoming a tool to fight against injustice. This position is strengthened by the need to fight against well-known patterns thatconstruct artificial/ superficial images, as in the case of the presentation of the workers by ignoring the dramas considered small, but which cross their existence and become relevant, aspects highlighted in the cycle of reportages dedicated to work in tanneries or in other sectors. The strategies of deconstructing the mentioned patterns are definitory for the way the writer perceives the practice of journalism, also explored in his articles: through contact and direct observation of anonymous life, by exposing banality that acquires a sensational aspect precisely through its dramatic character.
