The Ornament of the Traditional Romanian Carpet as an Effective Didactic Means of Aesthetic Education of Youth

Summary/Abstract: The diverse world of ornament and decor surrounds a person throughout his life, and not only surrounds him, but has a huge impact on the formation of his personality. It is by contacting nature, studying and analyzing cultural phenomena, cultural values (a traditional carpet, undoubtedly, is a cultural value) that a person receives his first ideas about beauty and spirituality, harmony and perfection. The article is devoted to the study of the formation of the initial professional competence of students at the faculties of fine, decorative arts and design, through mastering the patterns of the traditional Bessarabian carpet. The scientific problem solved in the study is the insufficient assessment of the role and priority of the traditional ornament of the Romanian (Bessarabian) carpet in the process of aesthetic education of youth, in the light of the requirements of modern artistic pedagogy. The value and novelty lie in identifying the effectiveness of the Model for the formation of professional skills among students, in the scientific substantiation of the research to fill the gaps in modern pedagogical practice of the Republic of Moldova. Let us note that the above material outlines the main ways of development of ethnopedagogical and other art history and ethnological research aimed at the formation of initial professional competence, promising personal qualities and ethnoartistic culture of students, so necessary in higher art education of the Republic of Moldova, in the conditions of a modern multicultural environment.
