Gamification of a college course – a case study

Summary/Abstract: The article describes a case study of gamification of a courseat the University of Wroclaw. The results of two questionnaires are alsopresented – one concerned the students’ approach to the course and theirprevious experience with gamification of education, while the other con-cerned the evaluation of the gamification mechanisms used. The articlepresents an analysis of the students’ behaviour and conclusions about theintroduction of elements known from games in classes – the advantagesof such activities, as well as pointing out the potential risks and problemsthat appeared – both on the part of the student and on my part as a teacher.
