Summary/Abstract: In the article are presented information about a new invasive species in the fauna of the Republic of Moldova – the brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys, originally from China, recently appeared in Chisinau and which is gradually expanding its area in Europe. Data were also included regarding the extension of the range of the species in Romania, the species being reported now for the first time also in Dolj county.
