Summary/Abstract: The publication examines and comments on three short memories of the writer Georgi Stoyanov Georgiev (1896-1980) about his meetings in 1930 with the Russian writers Alexander Kuprin, Ivan Bunin and Dmitry Merezhkovsky who were living as emigrants in Paris at that time. The memoirs were probably written after 1976, preserved in manuscript in the writer's collection at the Central State Archives, and have never been printed. The biographical narrative of G. Georgiev, who lived in silence after the coup of 9 September 1944 is restored. The creative history of the memoirs is reconstructed and hypotheses are proposed for their Aesopian meta-language, thanks to which censorship is circumvented in its various images. The memoirs themselves are provided with a detailed textual commentary that reveals G. Georgiev as a good connoisseur of Russian literature and his role as a mediator between Bulgarian and Russian culture, which has largely remained unknown to our Literary and Slavic studies.
