Summary/Abstract: Prof. Eduard Kubů's career began in medieval history but shifted to modern economic history due to limited opportunities. He worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later joined the Historical Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. His research initially focused on international political relations before shifting to economic factors in foreign policy, significantly contributing to the understanding of Czechoslovak foreign policy and the role of capital. Key projects included documenting the history of Jewish gold and property during WWII and participating in commissions analyzing the 1967-1970 period and the fate of Jewish assets.
