Summary/Abstract: The inner fortresses of Eastern Transdanubia, originally built during the Constantine period, served as supply bases. These fortresses were reconstructed after being destroyed in the Quad–Sarmatian invasion of 374. The granary (horreum) was a significant structure within the forts. Research on the horreum at the Ságvár fortress has provided reliable data on its chronology and the history of the facility. This study presents the results of the horreum's excavation, with a focus on the architectural characteristics of late Roman granaries in Pannonia.
