Summary/Abstract: Protection and security services in Afghanistan were largely outsourced by the United States government and other diplomatic or commercial entities to private security companies immediately after the tragedy of September 11, 2001. Private security companies maintained close collaboration with the US and NATO's Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan because they needed real-time information to carry out their mobile/static protection and security missions. This support provided to private security companies disappeared after the evacuation of the US and NATO from Afghanistan. For a protection and security team, the quality and level of training of the personnel forming the team and the intelligence available to the teams in the field are very important. Thus, we will try to provide a brief description of the two needs of a protection and security team, mentioned earlier, in Taliban-led Afghanistan.
