Summary/Abstract: Audiovisual products are more popular than ever and the need to translate these products in order to reach a wider audience is an undeniable reality. It is also reflected in the number of films and series with audio descriptions. However, the recommendations in Spain date from 2005 and do not include guidelines for adequate audio description for children. We must also consider that children are an audience with the particularity that they have not yet mastered the language, and studies on language acquisition in blind people are limited in contrast to those that analyse this acquisition from a broader perspective. Taking all these premises into account, in this paper we have set out to provide examples from the audio description of the film Encanto in order to assess the suitability of the choices made in the script published in the AudescMobile application of the ONCE and the Fundación Vodafone España. In order to do this, we have used AENOR's UNE153020:2005 standard and existing studies on language acquisition and film analysis to focus on children as the target audience.
