COMPARATIVE STUDY OF GEORGI GOSPODINOV

Summary/Abstract: The most distinguished and internationally awarded among the contemporary Bulgarian authors, Georgi Gospodinov (1968) is also the most published and well received writer from Bulgaria among Macedonian readers. Almost all of his books (the two novels, as well, as books of short stories and poems) have been translated and published in Macedonian, including the last one, which was adapted for theatre. It also includes the thematic exhibition “Afternoon of an Ideology” in Skopje 2018 (he recently co-curated in Sofia). This paper is focused both on the reception and analysis of the novels: Natural Novel and The Physics of Sorrow widely recognized in the world.
