Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the communication gap surrounding the impact of animal farming on climate and the environment. While the negative effects of fossil fuels are widely known and communicated, the role of the animal farming sector in the climate and environmental crisis is often overlooked, which hinders open debate and legislative changes. Public perception, shaped by media and policy, frequently portrays agriculture solely as a victim of climate catastrophe, ignoring its role in deepening the climate and environmental crisis. In the green transition process, holistic communication, clear language, credible sources, and active dialogue are essential to bridge this gap, initiate serious debate, and pursue effective legal and systemic solutions. We have data indicating the public’s concern for climate and the environment, yet there is a disconnect between awareness and action. The article presents selected data on the animal farming sector’s impact on climate and the environment, which should be foundational knowledge for researchers, environmental communicators, and practitioners.
