Summary/Abstract: The history of literature shows that the text is almost always adaptable to stage. A perfect example in this sense is the epistolary novel. Its form needs next to no adaptation when rendered on stage. The following article focuses on C.S. Lewis’ famous epistolary novel, The Screwtape Letters, on its belletristic qualities and the features that are ideal instruments for a theatrical adaptation.
