Summary/Abstract: All functional styles involve the use of a specific language just as the journalistic style uses language constructions specific to the journalistic language. The beginning of the formation and use of journalistic language coincided with the establishment of the press, respectively in the 17th century, when the first newspapers were sent for publication. The advent of the media represented the beginning of real-time information, constituting a reference point for human civilization. Over time, access to information became faster and faster, but the press remained the most influential information segment even today.
