Summary/Abstract: The well known political and economic conditions which existed for centuries in Macedonia, resulted in constant migration of the population from this territory. One of the places where they emigrated is Constantinople. where they settled aijlong the numerous christian population. Towards the middle of the lasa century in this city a colony of Slav population was created from about 100000 citizens. The colony consisted largly of Macedonian population. as well as Bulgarians, which were brought close by mutual interests. namely the wish to separate from the Greek church and to establish a Slavic one.
