Summary/Abstract: There is an unpublished longer note on Heidegger's inaugural lecture in Freiburg in 1930 “What is metaphysics?” by an eyewitness: Ida Friederike Coudenhove (later married Görres; 1901 – 1971), who was studying in Freiburg at the time. The notes are enthusiastic and at the same time critical of the Freiburg faculty, who attended somewhat “affected”. This is the first time that these notes have been published from the original text and commented on and it is rather a philosophical-historical contribution.
