Summary/Abstract: The adoption of management control procedures in the public sector introduced a new element into the activities of these units, modernizing their approach to functioning. The previous focus on financial matters was replaced by an emphasis on the proper implementation of the organization’s goals, specifically increasing their social utility. Management control is a key element in the functioning of any public organization, including courts. Its purpose is to support the achievement of organizational goals by ensuring compliance with the law, as well as the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of operations. One of the key elements of management control is the internal environment, which serves as the foundation for other system components. This article will discuss aspects of the internal environment in courts, their importance, and their impact on the quality of the justice system’s functioning.
