Two Old Globes of Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library in Sarajevo

Summary/Abstract: Today in libraries geographic maps, atlases, plans, all cartographic publications and globes represent special collection, and in school libraries they represent essential teaching tools. Unfortunately, most of our libraries do not have these appliances. The paper points out that geographic teaching tools represent significant part of library collection, especially in school libraries. With this paper, the author wants to draw attention to two old globes in Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library and to their author Salih Muvekit, as a part of Bosnian geographic heritage.
