Summary/Abstract: The study aims to analyze the particularities presented by the conditions for acquiring a locally elected mandate if the candidate is a citizen of a member state of the European Union. It starts from the presentation of the normative framework considered in carrying out the study, after which, in the second section, all the provisions of the identified normative acts that are relevant for clarifying the assumed problem are analyzed.
