Summary/Abstract: This paper presents information on the problems of location of the Roman road network and the Ad Zizio-Asamo rest stops. The researchers' opinions on these rest stops differ. From the Ad Zizio rest stop, the road branched off in two directions. One branch ran along the seashore and the other through the interior of the province of Dalmatia. The two branches merged into one road at the Scobre rest stop. The basis for successful research into the ancient road network of southern Dalmatia are written sources and road remains on site. The archaeological finds in the area of the southern province of Dalmatia indicate the relatively early development of the Roman road network.
