Summary/Abstract: The aim of the following article is to highlight the relationships between the Greek and the Jewish minorities of Romania during the last decades of the 19th Century as reflected in a French language weekly published in the town of Galați. The precise moment in time is 1865-1867 when the Jewish problem went through in a very delicate moment as the Romanian State was in a full process of consolidation which went hand in hand with the strengthening of national feelings and hostility against the minorities.
