Summary/Abstract: Тhe aim of this thesis is to prove that the source of Ottoman voynuk order was in the organisation of vlach soldiers from the estates of large feudal lords or Christian rulers in the pre-Turkish period. Situation recorded in the most accessible sources i.e. monastery charters, also lead to this conclusion, although lacking complete agreement.
