Summary/Abstract: The African health system remains one of the most fragile internationally several years after independence. Sub-Saharan populations in the vast majority are faced with difficulty accessing health care due to poverty and the failure if not the absence of public policies in the field of health. However, one category of this population retains attention: it’s about women and girls. Indeed, the greatest victims of this health situation are women and girls due, among other things to the persistence of inequalities linked to sex, discrimination, socio-anthropological factors, etc. which still raise social tensions in this part of the African region. This communication aims to assess the level of access to health care for women, the related strategies and the challenges these women face in a sub-Saharan context dominated by gender inequalities.
