Summary/Abstract: This article looks at the memoirs of Walter Schellenberg, Hitler's last intelligence leader, a controversial figure, who revealed many unknown aspects of the Nazi regime in his book. The aim of the article is to find out how Schellenberg uses metaphors in his memoirs to increase his expressiveness. The question arises as to whether he uses these metaphors to construct his discourse and justify his actions, or to give his text more momentum.
