Summary/Abstract: One of the major priorities of our century is sustainability, to which all the actions we undertake must be related, whether we are talking about individuals or whether we are referring to institutions. For this purpose, the museum must be considered as a company, the management rules of a company allow an adequate treatment of all the steps towards a sustainable approach.The 21st century is deeply marked by the need of finding ways to consider museums as an active part in the sustainability transition. Museums must start to implement sustainable policies and to become a voice in sustainable education.
