»Languages« of the Moravian Gate

Summary/Abstract: The author discusses the linguistic situation in the area of the Moravian Gate. He draws attention to the linguistic influences in this area, which determine the different development of these dialects than in other border areas. He indicates the type of transitional and mixed dialect. Using the example of the Prague dialect, he analyses the communication situation of the population of this part of the Czech-Polish border.
