Summary/Abstract: The report examines the development of the concept of physical attraction between man and woman as a primary motive for unfolding the narrative in several ballet performances by the French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj. The performances of Romeo and Juliet (1990/1996), The Parc (1994), and Le sacre du printemps (2001) are analyzed in the report. The progressing freedom of choreographic language and expressive means are investigated, as well as the difference in the achieved impressions. The similarities between the three performances and the development of the methods for exploring sexuality used by the choreographer.
