Summary/Abstract: This paper sets out the results of short-term studies of textile articles in the Prusac and Kraljeva Sutjeksa areas. A few surviving examples were found of traditional household textiles (various linen textiles, or less commonly hemp, cotton or wool textiles, rugs, decorative articles and bed linen) or articles of clothing, as well as many contemporary household textiles, most of which were for interior decoration. In both areas, weaving various kinds of linen fabrics and woollen cloth for articles of clothing, as well as weaving and making household textiles, was still an everyday practice in the early and mid 20th century. During the latter half of the 20th century, new materials and techniques began to be used for hand-made articles, with embroidery and crochet now the principal techniques. Weaving became less common as people increasingly wore clothes of factory-made fabrics, but the traditional production of bed linen and floor rugs was maintained.
