Handbooks on Belarusian as a Foreign Language in a Diachronic Aspect

Summary/Abstract: The article gives an overview of text-booksdevoted to Belarusian as a foreign language.They can not be fully regarded as textbooksbecause the material is presented in anacademic manner and lacks the communicativeapproach. Since the year of 2000, several speechpractice handbooks have been published.Today it is necessary to work out a nationallevel-based model curriculum of Belarusian asa foreign language as required under theCommon European Framework of Reference,which will give rise to modern textbooks.
