Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the article is to assess the ethical standards of remuneration policy for top executives in the financial sector. A comparison of the benefits achieved by various interest groups associated with the activities of public banks in Poland, gives rise to the conclusion that the remuneration received by the top managers in investigating banks does not indicate the presence of asymmetry providing preference for this professional group in comparison with shareholders, customers and employees.
