Analysis of the use of solar collectors to produce hot water

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze the use of alternative energy sources, which are solar collectors to produce hot water compared with conventional sources. The analysis was carried out using RETScreen International. The analysis shows that the most economically reasonable move is to reduce the use of electricity and fuel oil for the production of domestic hot water. Given that the natural resources of coal and oil are running out due to their significant use in the production, including electricity, the use of solar energy in the future will be increasingly important to balance the demand for energy and thus sustainable development.
