Summary/Abstract: Surrogacy has been a growing trend in recent years in the elimination of infer¬tility. The article analyses the ECtHR‘s approach to contentious issues in the field of reco¬gnition of parentage in cross-border surrogacy cases, with a view to formulating general conclusions arising from the ECtHR‘s ground-breaking jurisprudence and advisory opi¬nion.
