Summary/Abstract: The work analyzes the needs and possibilities of applying modern technologies in the function of building an appropriate model of forest management, in order to mitigate the effects of climate change. Awareness of the importance of managing natural resources is gaining more and more importance, especially when observing climate change, which as a result is increasingly causing devastating natural disasters. Existing digital tools and technical-technological achievements need to be put to the function of preserving forests, which, along with water and air, are the most important natural resource. The change in the paradigm of forest management should be above local interests and socio-political divisions, based on new technologies, for which purpose it is necessary to provide the necessary personnel for the management of technologies through formal and informal educational models, with the aim of ensuring biological balance and prevention in the field of forest management, which is of general social importance. The work indicates the need to build a forest management model that will ensure their sustainability and provide protection from unwanted risks, in order to ultimately develop their necessary resilience in terms of environmental challenges.
